It had been bothering Loid how these workmates of Yor can be an abominable threat to the Forger family and Operation Strix. Though they only casually probe Yor in their small talks, their interrogation skills and intuition must not be taken lightly. At one time they’ll talk about weekend dinner dates, then coupling outfits, shared items, gripes. He can’t even bring himself to think about the lewd parts of their conversations. There’s no knowing how much is pure spontaneity or if there could be hidden intentions behind their probing.
What if they find out?
Had Yor been a better liar, it would have been fine. But in order to keep suspicions to a minimum, Loid came up with a little ruse.

He rests his left elbow onto the countertop and leans over the bar to Franky. “I’ll have what she’s having.”
The words are barely out of his mouth when she launches herself out of the stool, slamming his lower back into the edge of the bar and pressing her knife against his neck, just enough for a drop of blood to trickle out and onto the blade.
