Summary
The sky is a lavender heaven above them, daisy clouds drifting by, glowing across them. The moon hasn't come out yet, but the sun has already dipped into the horizon, and it casts a golden glow across them. For once he can admire the colour for what it is, as it catches her hair (neatly plaited, with buttercups woven into the folds) and reflects onto each petal that she counts.
No, no, NO. This is stupid. He definitely isn’t blushing. Not thinking about Willow. Why would sitting with Willow make a Golden Guard blush? He can’t even begin to process all the thoughts in his mind right now. A new level of blunder, he thinks.
Willow looks over at him and beams. He suppresses a nosebleed.
He decides there and then that he loves spring.

“So, uhh…” Luz started, “What does she think is wrong with you?”
Hunter rolled his eyes and prepared for the oncoming interrogation. “She knows it’s a human thing,” he grumbled.
“Maybe you should tell her.”
Hunter scoffed. “It’s not a big deal.”

Summary
The rules were simple — no magic, no help from others (besides palismen), and only baking cakes with fruit from Willow’s garden. To make it even more official, Willow had called Gus to be their one and only trustful and objective judge. He obviously couldn’t have turned down the opportunity, so he had quickly agreed.
The kitchen in Willow’s house was spacious enough for them both to take places over the kitchen island. Their positions were settled and the equipment was ready. All there was left to do was, well, to choose.
About how on one summer day, Hunter and Willow held a baking competition.
