Summary
Tim rides his bike, his small legs aching and his breath a ragged gasp by the time he reaches Gotham City proper. His legs shake and his heart slams as he steps off his bike, adrenaline shooting through him as he sees the dark buildings looming overhead and seriously questions whether or not this was a good idea.
Then the screaming starts. It’s distant, accompanied by the sounds of explosions and a loud voice declaring some villain or other as the new ruler of Gotham, but Tim doesn’t care about any of that.
He creeps closer, keeping to the shadows and hugging the side of the nearest building despite the grime which rubs off on his small white hands and the rough brick that catches and tears at his soft clothes. The screaming grows louder.
Tim closes his eyes and remembers. It hurts, but it feels good.
He can’t stop poking at it.

Summary
Jason Todd has a plan. Get into the Charitable Education Associations Annual Masquerade, complete his mission, and leave. He didn't expect to get stymied before he even got in the doors by an unexpected layer of security. Already planning just how many security guys he's going to have to go through to make his escape, he's just as surprised as everyone else when the gorgeous young man sent out to confirm his invite let's him through... as his date!
Suddenly Jason has just a single night to convincingly fake a relationship, complete his mission, reconnect with someone from his past whom he was never able to leave behind, uncover the sinister goings-on behind the scenes of a charity school, dodge both Batman and Nightwing as they stalk him through the ballroom, try to save a bunch of kids from a horrible fate, make up for a mistake he'd never even known he'd made and somehow, someway, try to rescue the last good bit of his childhood that he remembers from the forces trying to control him and maybe also from himself as well.
No pressure.
