From the far end of the ballroom Prince Aziraphale’s eyes locked on Crowley as he raised his hand beseechingly. Crowley couldn’t look away from him if his life depended on it, although he was keenly aware of the increasing number of eyes joining the Prince’s to stare at him standing frozen on the dais. As he realized that he was incapable of not answering the silent call of the bright Alpha below him, a calm washed over him, acting as a soothing balm over the jagged edges of his seething emotions.Just breathe. He inhaled shakily as he began descending the steps to the ballroom floor. Prince Aziraphale mirrored his steps, stepping forward to close the distance between them.
The sea of nobles between them parted like waves receding from the shore as they moved closer. When Crowley drew close to the Prince, his hand slowly rose to settle in the Alpha's outstretched one.
The Prince looked at Crowley's face searchingly. His voice was quiet yet ringing with intent as he asked, "May I have this dance?"

The angel flips them around, trapping Crowley between himself and the wall, and already the demon feels calmer, more centred. Just – the reassuring weight and warmth of Aziraphale’s body anchoring him to the here and now, anchoring the thoughts in his head to the rest of him. The force of the angel’s palm against his chest, Aziraphale’s thigh firmly lodged between his legs.

When Crowley can't shake off a gnawing, heavy feeling of restlessness by himself, he trusts in Aziraphale to help him clear and settle his mind.

Somehow, this nerd managed to parse out some really complicated thoughts on love and intimacy that I've been trying to do for a really long time, and has done it in a funny, entertaining and ridiculously heart-wrenchingly tooth-achingly delicious way.

Angel rounds the corner into his bedroom and draws up short.
There's a person in his bed.
More accurately, there's a person tied down to his bed: wrists and ankles lashed tight in two bow-wrapped bundles pinned to the metal frame so their body is stretched long like an exclamation point. Two lengths of soft-looking black rope shot through with a single strand of red have been wrapped around their upper torso and hips and tied in place with prominent bows as well. They're fitted with a rufter hood and gagged, and something gold glints at the front of the slender black ribbon tied around their neck.
"Oh," he breathes low, "you're finally here. My helpmate."
