Remus has a tattoo.
Just one and Sirius doesn’t know about it.
He got it September 1st 1981 and it sits on the junction of his hip, and reaches up to his side, the most essential bit of it all sitting just below his navel. It’s the only one he’s ever gotten, and probably the only one he’ll ever get. After the events of October 31st 1981, he tried to remove it with magic, maybe it would’ve worked if it wasn’t a muggle tattoo, but the ink stayed firmly on his hip. Remus begged for the wolf to scratch at it, to remove it from his body, but Moony stayed stubborn and kept it there, new scars surrounded it, but never over it.
But now, as Sirius Black stands in his kitchen, drinking a cup of tea with a five-year-old Harry on his hip, he’s quite glad it’s still there. A reminder of what was, a memory, something pleasant to distract him from the events before he turned twenty-one.

"Just tell me what you want, and I'll do it." Jesse glances up at him, through his eyelashes, and Mike starts to get a sinking feeling about where this is going. "I owe you, right? So take what you want." The kid's voice has taken on a strange, shaky sort of certainty. Like he's done this a million times before, and been taken up on the offer every single time.
Thanks to suggestions and feedback, this is now going to be a series of loosely connected one-shots. There's a sort of story progressing here, but for now they're mostly just character studies.
