Lloyd’s whole life, he’s felt as though it’s just been leading up to this big point.
This big thing, that’s going to set his course until he eventually dies.
He’s always hoped this big thing would be the day he becomes an overlord like his father.
Unfortunately, fate has other plans.
Or, Lloyd gaining the trust and love of everyone on the bounty!

Oh.
It was only his least favorite day of the year. How had they found out? Lloyd had never told the team about his birthday, and for good reason. Thinking about his birthday brought only painful memories.
“No,” he lied, avoiding anyone’s eye contact. “That day doesn’t mean anything.”

It's Lloyd's birthday, but the young boy isn't so keen to celebrate. Kai, Nya, and the rest of the team are determined to get to the bottom of his odd behavior.

Jay had to be as careful as possible, one wrong shock and he could be doing more harm than good
Zane had to be precise, he was losing too much blood to spill any of their precious supplies
Nya had to keep Kai from losing his marbles
Cole could feel the liquid all over his hands as he continued chest compressions.
In which Lloyd’s fight with Garmadon was brutal and bloody, leaving the ninjas to keep him alive.

Nya still remembers what it felt like to die. Not an experience she would've liked to repeat again, at least not for several decades. But when she and the other ninja visit a certain pyramid full of death traps, she finds herself doing just that, over, and over, and over...
Because every time Nya dies, time gets reset, and unfortunately there's no way to leave the pyramid unless she can figure out how to survive all its booby traps AND make sure everyone on the team stays alive, without waking up the evil locked within, and without losing her sanity in the process...
Tl;dr: Nya is stuck in a time loop while she and the ninja explore Aspheera's pyramid.

(Takes place a few months after the start of Crystalized but only the bit where Nya gets turned back into a human and Crystallized shiz doesn’t happen yet)
The team was all back together again. Things were good. Nya and Jay were inseparable. Zane was finally taking time to come to terms with the events of the Neverrealm, and for the first time in ages, Lloyd didn’t seem concerned with finding his father.
Now if only Kai could sort out his own feelings. Sure there wasn’t technically anything wrong. Just the resurfacing of some *ahem* buried *ahem* feelings about a certain teammate of his. Kai couldn’t tell you when the attraction to Cole began, but he was somewhat certain that he m i g h t have been hiding from those feelings for a while now.
But it’ll be fine! He has plenty of time to figure things out and sort through his emotions…
