Summary
Due to Ron's inability to listen in class and his need for revenge, Harry was involved in a potions mishap with Malfoy and Snape changing his life forever. Being bonded unexpectedly was a surprise but was it for the better? Now Harry has to adjust to a whole new life and he's trying hard not to fail under the pressure brought to him by his new mates and new responsibilities.

With his sanity returned he stops acting like an idiot Gryffindor and starts acting like the snake he is. The dark side of the war actually develops a strategy beyond just rabid attacks and murder.
Albus Dumbledore has all kinds of plans for his prophesied hero, all he needs is for Tom to actually attack.
James and Lily love the idea that their son is going to be a hero.
Fleamont and Euphemia just want everyone else to get their act together and stop being stupid children.

Greengrass looked him up and down before grimacing.” What on earth are you wearing?” she gasped.
Harry looked down at himself at his red Converse with duct tape holding them together, his ratty jeans barely being held up by a spare piece of cord he’d nicked from a lost and found bin, and a tee shirt that was once white and blue but was so stained, Dudley was a horribly messy eater, that it was more of a tan and blue at this point. He grimaced.
“Oh,” he sighed, “they’re my cousin's hand-me-downs.”
“Well why don't you buy new clothes?” she sounded appalled, Harry understood why.
“Hagrid and Mrs.Weasley both told me to only buy the bare essentials.”
“Shoes without holes and clothes that fit are essentials!” Greengrass insisted.
