Summary
Korra wasn’t sure what was weirder: that her boyfriend lived with his ex or that she was the one currently driving Korra to their apartment.
“So you’re what -- a volunteer mechanic?”
Korra thought the address she’d gotten for Asami’s “internship” had to be a mistake when she’d found herself outside an auto shop. Then the perfect, prissy, engineering major had rolled out from underneath a car in a grease-stained tank top flashing an entirely too friendly smile.
And now Korra was going to be a snarky bitch about it, apparently.
Asami, in yet another unexpected move, laughed.
“And chauffeur I hear.”
Korra winced, despite herself.

”I don't think soulmates are about perfection or completing each other. It's not about finding your ’better half.’ I mean, shouldn't you be whole and complete before finding someone who deserves you?”
Asami glanced at Korra and raised a brow. “So, it's still about choice, then? I thought the spirits chose for us.”
“It’s about recognition and I think the spirits nudge us,” Korra replied. “The stars mark the places where we’ve already met our soulmates–somewhere, sometime, in a different life. We just find our way back and the spirits help us recognize that bond.”
Asami’s gaze lingered on Korra a little longer, her expression unreadable. “You actually believe that?”
“I do,” Korra said without missing a beat.
Asami looked back up at the sky. “Then I hope the stars or the spirits know what they're doing,” she looked back at Korra with a small smile, “for your sake.”
Korra’s bottom lip was trapped between her teeth from holding herself back. Until said lip tugged up, its confines no longer able to contain the grin from spreading across her face. “They brought me here, didn't they?”

Summary
Asami's work life balance improved quickly after Korra moved into the spare bedroom of the Sato mansion. However, recent worries over the future of her company have led her back to her office after hours, often for entire evenings. Feeling distant and maybe a little bit rejected, Korra concocts a cunning plan to lure her girlfriend from her work and help bring balance to her life.
After all, restoring balance is what the Avatar is all about, right?
