They are bad at anticipating her movements and her decisions because Katara will never have the luxury of learning the way they did. She fights dirty, not fair, and their pride doesn’t let them understand that they’re in over their heads until it’s too late.
They leave her scrapes and bruises and cuts that fuel her healing sessions. When those are done, she goes back to their suite and resumes putting together a combat bending style from stolen pieces and her experience in the wider world.

Reading this fic feels like eating the shattered pieces of a fired piece of ceramic. One that's been glazed Candy Apple Red (really bright red). It's like if Detective Pony dropped all the bullshit, self-aggrandizing references to Greek literature and went all in on that absurd blend of mind-blending reality warping, wonderfully impossible language, and feels.
And then it was also about Princess Zelda. And it was the best fic ever.Like. You know it's good when there's a goddamn ROSENCRANTZ AND GUILDENSTERN REFERENCE.

Incredibly emotional, wonderfully written, and just plain great. Accomplishes the impossible task of having interesting, fleshed out female characters-- IN A MCU FIC. Seriously there's like negative women in the MCU the author tried so hard 10/10
