He shouldn’t have—” Zuko clamps his mouth shut, his teeth clicking together, and swallows thickly. “I mean. I found the tactic he proposed very startling, but it wasn’t my place to question such things. I’m sure he had his reasons.”

“I’m.. uh, yes?” He replies, ears still ringing with the words exhausting and suck it up and bail me out of jail.
Her answering grin is delighted and Buck can’t remember the last time someone was so happy to see him.

He knows frustration - he knows fury. He’s painfully familiar with that burning rage that crackles in the tips of your fingers, that makes your skin hot and chest tight, and makes you want to punch anyone that dares to even look at you.
