Shiro wasn't the type to be smug.
Actually, that was a bald-faced lie.

“Is my forehead too big?”
Shiro scrutinized his reflection in the bathroom mirror. Though he tried not to think about it, he’d always been somewhat self-conscious about the… large size of the area between his eyebrows and hairline.

“Dude, nice Frankenstein costume!” The newest guest said to Gamagoori, who gave him a respectful nod. “And you’re a… mad scientist? Cool, cool,” he added, looking Shiro up and down. Before Shiro could correct him, he was gone.
“I’m Frankenstein, he’s the monster,” he said to no one, and finished off his punch. Everything was not fine.

Summary
Houka didn’t know how Mankanshoku had managed to talk him into helping her summon a demon. Maybe his own overactive curiosity had gotten the better of him, or maybe he’d had one too many of the cheap beers Matoi had bought. Maybe he enjoyed Mankanshoku’s attempts at friendship more than he cared to admit.

Summary
“Back to work. Toodles.”
With the chatter of their friends cut off, Iori and Inumuta slipped back into the positions they had grown so used to: working together, side-by-side, amicably silent save for the familiar rhythms of Iori’s sewing machine and Inumuta’s keyboard. Though, this was different from their usual cacophony - rather than a single Singer, there were now four of them, whirring away at lightning speed, each one adding its own tempo to the din and creating something new and unknown. In other words, it was an itch that Inumuta couldn’t help but scratch at.

An incessant alarm rouses Shiro from his slumber at far too early an hour. He scrunches his face in displeasure, burying his face in his pillow and pulling the quilt over his head as he mumbles, voice hoarse with sleep:

Summary
No one informs Mankanshoku that the bouquet throw is meant to be a gentle over-the-shoulder toss, not an overhanded pitch as far as the thing will possibly go, which, in this case, is over the heads of the three guests vying for it, all the way across the room, and into Shiro's cake.
