Description:

The "arc" is a series of stories meant to flesh out the timeline of the series. They take place before, during, and after the events of the show, and I try my best to adhere to, and incorporate, the canon. Generally they can be read in any order, but sometimes things from earlier stories are alluded to. I use the production order and dates of the episodes for my timeline/template. A list of the episodes in that order can be found at The Avengers Forever. They were originally written in random order, but I've posted them here in the order in which they're meant to be read.

The purpose of the series is to follow the evolution of the relationship between Purdey and Gambit, and, to a lesser extent, the relationship between Purdey, Gambit, and Steed, over time.

I'm writing for the arc again, as I've still got at least one story in mind. I'm hoping I can keep the momentum going to at least get as far as I planned when I started.

Notes:

A brief timeline/chronology:

1. Lost Boys: June, 1975. Pre-series, it establishes the relationship between Gambit and Steed before Purdey was added to the mix.

2. Anew: December, 1975. First meetings story, chronicling Purdey's first assignment with Steed and Gambit.

3. Aftermath: February 6-8, 1976. Set around the pre-credits sequence of "Cybernauts."

4. Dance with Me: March, 1976. This one explains why Purdey seems more familiar with Gambit than Steed. Ends with the events at the start of "Gnaws."

5. The Anniversary: November, 1976. Late in season one, maybe post-season one.

6. Merry Christmas, Mr. Gambit: December 24, 1976. Between seasons 1 and 2.

7. Brazil: Late February/Early March, 1977: Very early season 2, probably not long after "Hostage." Revolves around Purdey's time in the Amazon as mentioned in "Angels of Death."

8. Life on Mars: July, 1977. Inspired by the 2006 British series, but not a crossover by any means. Takes place immediately after "Obsession."

9. 'Til Death: September, 1977. Post-series. A mission with deadly consequences may break the team. Or change it forever.

10. Same Time Next Year: November 1977. Post-series. Mike Gambit's past comes back to haunt him.
