Tommy refuses to think about why that makes his heart beat faster. Munson is successful in his efforts, because the person in the room with him does stop and stand up. Tommy can’t stop looking, because—
Because that is not a girl. That is someone who is five-ten, easy, with short hair and a muscled back. Whoever just brought Eddie Munson to the edge of bliss is not a girl, and worse, those broad shoulders and that full head of hair are familiar. In the surreal events of the last ten minutes, Tommy had forgotten entirely about the BMW outside, but the realization lands on him like a load of bricks.
The man standing with his back to Tommy is Steve Harrington.
Or: Tommy Hagan is back in Hawkins and wants to buy from Eddie. Old feelings come to light when he realizes who else is at Eddie’s trailer, and why.

Summary
Steve and Eddie are close. The whole party knows that; it’s not a secret. But they’re close in the way they’re all close, right? The bonds of trauma, or something like that. They’re close like Steve and Robin are close, like Jonathan and Argyle are close, like Will and El are close.
Right?
Slowly, Will turns back around and peeks around the corner again.
Snippets of their conversation float over to him. Steve is adding chocolate chips to the batter and Eddie is leaning up against the counter next to him, one arm looped loosely around Steve’s waist, the other reaching into the bowl to steal chocolate chips and nibble on them.
Eddie rests his chin on Steve’s shoulder and hums. “Is this what it’s gonna be like when we have those six little Harringtons? You makin’ breakfast every morning?”
Or: Will wakes up early after a sleepover at the Harrington house. He sees something in the kitchen he wasn't meant to see, which prompts the realization that he might not be as alone as he thought.

“Shit,” Eddie mutters.
In the doorway to the bedroom, Steve scrubs at his eyes and runs a hand through his hair. If it’s possible, he looks even more tired and rumpled than Eddie. He’s wearing a pastel sweatshirt and old gym shorts and his hair is flat on the right and sticking out at odd angles on the left.
“Jesus, Henderson. I thought I heard your voice,” Steve grumbles. “What are you doing here?”
“What are you doing here?” Dustin fires back.
