“You can’t make me go!” Amber crossed her arms, glaring challengingly.
Scoffing at that, Sam mirrored his sister’s stance before letting out a slow breath and stating firmly, “Amber, you’re going! It'll help you catch up and acclimate. Whether you like it or not, it'll make things easier down the line and give you a head start!”
At Sam’s resolute tone, Amber knew she couldn't change his mind. She shot a desperate look at Jack, who glancing up at her only shrugged apologetically. He wanted to back Amber up, but he also hated conflict. And he could also see Sam had his points.
Seeing she wouldn't get any backup from Jack, Amber groaned and stormed out of the kitchen venting all of her anger and indignation into an explosive, “FUCK YOU, SAM! You’re ruining my life!”
