Every time Ray closed his eyes, either to blink or to try and get some sleep, he saw everyone's recount of the scene, and wept. Within just a few weeks of him and Maya seeing their children again, everything had gone so, incredibly wrong, and so quickly. Even water made him feel slightly emotional. He felt utterly pathetic for it. Even if it was just a parent's natural grief.
And so. he went to one of the people he could trust the most.
His best friend.
And broke.
