Summary
Admittedly, it sounded good to Kyouji’s ear; the man’s lighter pitch stood out from the sea of deep voices. A quick glance revealed Satomi’s expression, which remained steady as he watched the performance solemnly. Satomi’s tongue played with the straw of his half-empty drink as he watched the performance. Kyouji found himself absent-mindedly licking his own lips as a response.
“I think it’s good,” uttered Satomi after the music had stopped. There was a faint smile on the boy’s lips as he remarked, which was enough to disarm Kyouji. “There’s nothing to add.”
Kyouji tried his best to steel his expression, but he couldn’t help the widening of his eyes paired with his mouth agape upon hearing those words come out of Satomi’s mouth. There was an intense prickling sensation in Kyouji’s chest as he processed what the boy said. Did Satomi just compliment somebody else’s singing ability, and in front of Kyouji no less?
“Huh?!” A voice echoed through the microphone, surprise evident in its tone. “Thank you very much!”

Summary
Truth be told, Yuuichi didn’t necessarily care about his secondary gender. He didn’t completely understand all the hype and allure of being an alpha that most of society seemed to covet. Sure, he was taller and broader than most boys his age, and his libido was more intense during certain times of the year, but he didn’t necessarily feel innately superior because he was an alpha. There were even times where he had felt more in line with being a beta rather than his designated secondary gender.
His scent was apparently not as overwhelming and abrasive as most alphas do; instead, it was a calming, woodsy scent according to some of his friends who managed to catch a whiff of him on the rare occasion he forgot to apply scent blockers.
He’s even encountered omegas before, but he didn’t necessarily feel the need to claim or knot any of them upon contact. Furthermore, he never felt the tendency to posture to indulge his inner alpha, nor did he see other alphas as competitors. If it weren’t for the mere presence of that lump of flesh on the base of his cock, he could’ve well been a beta.
It wasn’t until he had finally met and gotten to know Nikaidou Akira, when everything started to click for Yuuichi.

Satomi hadn’t even managed to cross the ticketing gates yet, but he had stopped in his tracks as he couldn’t believe what he was seeing with his eyes. Maybe it was just plain sleep deprivation, or he was in need of a much-needed adjustment for his glasses. However, unfortunately, he had known that tall, intimidating figure anywhere. He watched as Kyouji Narita shamelessly walked across the bustling station with his arm easily draped around the arms of a much younger boy.
A million thoughts suddenly raced through Satomi’s head, in an effort to explain what he was seeing. Maybe Kyouji managed to knock up some poor woman years ago; it wasn’t that uncommon with his line of work after all. Or maybe he needed help from another choir boy with his singing skills. Sure, Satomi hasn’t been in choir in years, but he could still give out some helpful pointers. He doesn’t know what’s the worse option: that boy being Kyouji’s secret son or just another young boy that managed to catch Kyouji’s fancy.
He wondered if God’s humor must be fucked up for revealing this sight to Satomi, just a few days after he had finally come to terms with his feelings for the older Yakuza.
