Summary
Long ago, Magicfolk and humans coexisted in harmony. But human greed disrupted the balance. As humans took relentlessly, the magic began to wane. Feeling betrayed by the diminishing magic, humans turned violent, starting a devastating war. Millions of Magicfolk died. To escape this cruelty, they built Koreth, a sanctuary in the skies, beyond human reach. Initially, few left for Koreth. But during the Great Purge, when humanity's assault became unbearable, entire families fled to Koreth, abandoning their homes—and their children. Heeseung was just five years old when the Great Purge tore his world apart. His parents, like many others, fled to Koreth, leaving Heeseung and his siblings behind. They weren’t alone; many other Magicfolk children were also left to fend for themselves. Among them were the children of Heeseung's parents’ closest friends—his own childhood friends. Years later, when they were finally strong enough to endure the perilous journey, Heeseung and his friends united with one goal: find Koreth and reunite with their families. But the path to the lost city is fraught with danger. As evil forces conspire to harm them, they discover that true strength lies not in power, but in unity and resilience.
