Summary
Hide's not having a good day.

Then, as if his life being in danger wasn't enough, his heat starts acting up and what a surprise that all three ghouls were Alphas? When it looked as though his fate has been sealed, an old, familiar friend shows up and saves the day.

Every time he thought about leaving, thought about distancing himself from him, because he's so fucking scared of what he might do to him - to their child - he always reminds himself that if he go right now, leaving Hide behind AGAIN, he's not only hurting him, but also their child. He thought about how devastated Hide would be, when he has to give birth alone, taking care of a child, alone.

Hide continued to look into Kaneki's eyes - er, eye. He'll never tell him he's scared, worried he might not recognize him, not when he knew what confessing that would do to him. Instead, he put on a brave face - just like when Kaneki had been leaning over him, ready to take a bite out of his neck after confronting Nishiki.
"Hey," He whispered, watching as one of Kaneki's Kakuja Kagune twitched at the sound of his voice. "So, you're becoming even more stronger now, huh? That's good. Your family needs it," He closed his eyes. "I love you, Kaneki Ken."
OR Hide comes face to face with Kaneki in his Kakuja form for the first time, and tells him it's okay.

He said, but the ghoul can hear everything he didn't say: To put Kaneki's mind at ease, to know that if the CCG were to find them, Hide won't be in danger. To give their baby a chance to live with at least one of their parents, unlike Yoshimura's own child.
He closed his eyes.
