Alternate universe in which Adar and the Uruks have successfully defeated Sauron and reached an uneasy truce with the free world to create a modern industrial, democratic and egalitarian civilization of their own, now renamed Orcistan. However, they face cultural and political attacks and incidents of politically motivated violence from human leader Ron Saint, who promises to return the world to the supposedly more wholesome days of the Middle Ages. He rallies bands of humans to his side to denigrate Uruks, as much to rally support for his campaign for president of all of Middle-Earth as to reclaim the Southlands.
Years after Adar's death, his granddaughter Helga relates the story of how she visited a Legends and Lattes coffeeshop and traveled back in time to meet her grandfather and learned the truth about his brutal conquest of the Southlands. She and Adar realize that armed warfare will not defeat Ron Saint as the Southlanders have truth on their side, so they find true strength in publishing and owning up to their history and offering reparations.
