Summary
Lightning flashed, lighting up the alley in front of him, revealing mud covered heels. He blinked and looked up, staring unseeingly at the woman standing in front of him. She wore a black evening gown, though the hem was ripped and rotting. The pearls on her necklace were framed and set into what looked like bottlecaps, the delicate chain missing links and replaced with thicker, common steel chain links. Her opera gloves were stained with green sludge and red brown smears on the fingers. Her hair was thick and grimy, whatever style it had once been carefully arranged in mussed and ruined.
She smirked, lips twitching as she stared at him, as though he weren’t kneeling in a puddle of his parents' blood with their corpses lying beside him.
“Who…?” His voice was barely audible over the rain as he spoke. She reached forward, hand grasping his chin and tilting his head side to side.
“I’ll see you again...”

Summary
Batman keeps getting "severe" injuries on missions but shrugs them off. After being insistent on being non-meta the JL start to worry.
But that's just how Bruce is, he may be a cryptid, and sure injuries don't hurt him and he may also be immortal... but that doesn't mean he can't fake being non-meta, if they research too much into his kind then his children will be uncovered!
But after centuries of being a cryptid he may or may not have forgotten how "average" non-meta's react and behave... at first they shrugged it off as Batman being... well Batman. But even Batman can't not react to some of these injuries... can he?

Summary
No one is sure how long the loud sounds of the cries have been going on, 10, 15 years maybe? It’s uncertain, forgotten to keep track of. The cries...all so sorrowful and painful..you can hear them every night, and it just gets louder and louder each night. Sometimes you'll even hear chirps, clicks, and chittering. It all comes from one city, Gotham City.
Those outside of Gotham aren’t aware of what is making those sounds..only inside Gotham, and sometimes the neighboring cities.
Will they ever stop? No one knows, not even to figure out what the cause of it is. No one but Gotham knows the truth as to why these cries keep happening each night, but that's not entirely true is it? Let's ask and find out what these cries are all about inside the city of Gotham.

Summary
Bruce was so bored. That seemed to be the norm for a Justice League meeting.
It wasn’t his first time visiting the team, after Clark introduced them he tagged along to some of the meetings as an almost member.
He enjoyed listening to the happenings of each of the heroes…however…there wasn’t much going on recently and it was a whole lot of filler.
So the whispering in his ears was even more distracting than normal.

Summary
Gotham City has always been strange, but not stranger than what the rumors tell. A dark shadow with glowing eyes roams through the city at night. Sometimes it has little ones by it’s side, but don’t approach them, or you’ll end up dead like the rest of them who were foolish enough to touch them. It’s always watching, and always near the little ones who follow.
Though it has saved lives of the innocent, bringing them safety and closure. Yet there are those who are afraid, afraid to approach, and afraid to drive them away. They hate them, believe to be curses who prey on the innocent.
They’re demons after all, right?
The Justice League is called upon to deal with these demons who scare the innocent of Gotham. For the safety of the innocents, they go out to deal with it. But what they come to learn is something they never would have expected.

A couple extra members of the Batfamily that in this Universe I felt were better suited as their own distinct families. Really just the Gordons and one other, no it is not Lucius. I wasn't sure how to squeeze him in since this is kind of covering the timeline up to the end of Birth of the Bats, so Bruce/Batman hasn't even begun to build Wayne Enterprise yet (or ever? Undecided). Thus the Fox family will not be joining us at this time. Sorry.

“Dami is so cool,” Jon said, collapsing onto the bench of the lunch table. Mark and Marissa pulled their lunches out of the way just in time for Jon to face plant into the vacated space.
“What’d he do?” Mark asked, chewing on a peanut butter and banana sandwich. Marissa took a particularly vicious bite out of her celery.
“He just is,” Jon sighed, talking to the table. Hannah and Marissa made eye contact over the table. This had been going on for over a month, everything Jon did had something about Dami thrown in. Dami is Muslim, Jon said in history when they were learning about world religions, Dami said that tomatoes are a fruit so you can’t convince me otherwise, he declared in the argument over that topic they’d had about a week ago, Dami said this book was good, but I don’t like it, when they were reading an excerpt in English.
