Summary
Eddie had known for far too long that the way he felt about Buck was different from anything else, but he played dumb and lied to himself and everyone else until he couldn't anymore.
Because for those three minutes and seventeen seconds, something in Eddie had died. And when Buck began to breathe on his own again, it awoke with a name.
***
Set immediately after Bucks death, completely canon compliant to that point. I cried writing this (for multiple reasons) so I hope you enjoy!!!!! title taken from Not Strong Enough by BoyGenius (bc. duh?) honorable mention: Sailor Song by Gigi Perez (also duh).

Summary
Eddie wakes up in an odd place and the last thing he can remember is one of the worst moments of his life. He fought with Buck, in his-their kitchen. It started about Bobby's death, but it quickly spiraled. And Buck said some... a lot. Buck said a lot. Eddie thinks he'll regret that night for the rest of his life. Which, from the looks of it, won't be very long.

Summary
Eddie took two steps towards Buck, he was firm and decided “Did I do something wrong?” he mimicked Buck's voice, doing air quotes with his hands “I decided to stay, it wasn't because Chimney told me to, it was because this is my home, and Christopher missed LA, and Christopher missed his Buck, and I missed my Buck, I need you, and you just come here and inform me that you're leaving us? And immediately start packing? You don't even give me an explanation? I stay for you and you don't even give me an explanation on why you're leaving me?” he just let it all out on Buck, without realizing he got closer and closer to him at the point they're facing each other, very close, and he now has tears in his eyes that he's holding back, he was so honest.

When Buck first got diagnosed with ADHD, it had brought with it many answers, but almost just as many questions. Would he get medicine? Would medicine work? Would there be any side effects? In the end, they all got answered: Yes, yes... and yes.
or 5 times Buck had side effects from his medicine and didn't say anything and 1 time him and Eddie had a CONVERSATION (these two I swear)

Summary
“I want you…” Buck whispered, unable to say anything else. He was sick of the pining, the looks, the glances when he thought Eddie wasn’t looking. If it ruined everything, if they couldn’t take it back, he was ok with it. “I want you and Chris.”
“Then fucking have me.” With the words, Eddie leaned back and stopped right in front of Buck’s lips, waiting for a signal, a sign, because everything they’d done had been at the whim of the universe. Maybe he was finally listening to the screaming of the world. The shouting above all others, saying BuckandEddie over and over.
OR in my perfect world this would happen in season 9
(I'm aware I've written so many of these, but each one is better than the others!) -

Summary
"Buck has always known he was a little bit pathetic when it came to Eddie.
Not in a “writes his name in hearts on notebook margins” kind of way. Though if Chris ever handed him one of those Lisa Frank pens with the multicolored ink and dared him, he wouldn’t not do it. But it was more in the way where the most mundane things Eddie did hit him like a freight train..."Or, a day of grocery shopping turns into something else when Buck and Eddie get home...

Mornings with Buck were warm, familiar, and occasionally came with unexpected singing.

Summary
“What do you know?” He asked, narrowing his eyes. He put on his best ‘dad voice,’ as Buck liked to call it, forcing Ravi to meet his eyes. It didn’t take long before Ravi was spilling his guts.
Eddie, inexplicably, felt tears welling up in his eyes. Ravi cut himself off, his eyes even wider than before, but this time with a distinct horror.
“Hey, Eddie, hey.” Hen was next to him now, crouched next to his chair, placing one of her hands over his, which was balled up into a tight fist. “It was a long time ago, Buck ended it with him, Tommy’s not in the picture anymore.”
“It should have been me.” He whined, hating the sound as it forced its way out of his throat, unprompted. “Not fucking Tommy.”
“Ok!” Hen’s eyes were wide, and she lifted him to his feet, pulling him along to the couch on the other side of the loft, sitting him down. He buried his face in his hands, horrified. What a way to come out to your friend.

“Families are messy. Immortal families are eternally messy. Sometimes the best we can do is to remind each other that we're related for better or for worse.” And though the line was about gods and mortals, Buck thought that maybe it could be about him too.

Summary
“Before a storm, the air pressure generally decreases. The pressure drop is caused by warm air rising. It creates a low-pressure area and then, as the air rises, it cools and condenses, leading to cloud formation and potentially rain, snow, or, y’know, another form of precipitation. The faster and lower the pressure drops, the more intense and quickly the storm is likely to arrive.”
orrr
Buck and Eddie noticing that there is something off in the way the air moves, and with the added stress of a thunderstorm, their feelings are on high alert. -

Summary
The silence is loud in the confined space. There's something brewing in this car, in the noise of downtown LA not filtered by any hum of the radio, surrendering them to clouded gray thundering through dark skies. Buck knows it will come down soon, lighting always strikes twice with him.
He comes to a halt after a few minutes. Eddie's rigid expression is illuminated in traffic light red. The heat of it travels into a hand on Buck's thigh.
The light turns green. Eddie doesn't move his hand. He drives.

Following Bobby’s funeral, distance has been growing between Eddie and Buck, tension palpable every time they interact. It all boils over in the kitchen, both of them confronting each other. Eddie’s cold and cutting, Buck’s caustic and bitter. It all comes to a head…both literally and figuratively.
