Summary
Rean, a vampire hunter raised by a division of the Septian Church called the Black Workshop, has only known this way of living for as long as he can remember. His whole life gets turned upside down, when he becomes involved with a pure blood called Crow, who absolutely won't leave him alone. He doesn't understand why the vampire would be so interested in him, but it certainly changes his life in ways he never would have dared to imagine.
And of course, there is always the omnipresent issue of his cursed blood -- the sole reason why he is known as Ashen Demon in certain circles. Cursed blood that seems to attract vampires for its potency compared to regular blood.
Can he trust the vampire? Or is he better off believing the Chief, who had told him that no one should be trusted?

Crimson eyes burned, reflecting the figure of a rugged man, himself, glowing as he slowly began to fade. This was it. He had finally reached the ending to this wretched fairy tale. All that was left needed were for the words to line up in their respective places, and yet unexpectedly, some part of him hoped for the words to take their time, delaying the ending to the story he had always wished otherwise. But, alas, he'll simply have to make do with this short meeting, even if it is the first and final one they'll hold as father and son.
"...You have to go now...don't you, Dad?"
A content smile slowly formed in response, and Giliath felt his eyes slightly widen a fraction before inevitably wrinkling into their own cresent-like shapes when they uttered a name he thought he wouldn't hear again or even had the right to be called it, but he supposed it was quite on brand for his son to be so forgiving.
"Goodbye...,"
And with that, Giliath Osborne had finally found his resting place, remembered by many as a plague to the continent of Zemuria, with only a few exceptions who thought otherwise. One of which was his son, Rean Schwarzer-Osborne, who achieved the one thing he couldn't.
