In the fragile calm after the storm, three worlds begin to bleed into one.
Optimus Prime is free, but far from whole. Haunted by pain he cannot name and a bond he does not understand, he must learn to survive among former enemies aboard the Darksyde. As Megatron quietly unravels the walls he once built, both leaders begin to shape a future neither dared hope for.
Back on Cybertron, Sentinel Magnus tightens his grip. But resistance stirs beneath the veneer of control. Team Prime is scattered and hunted, but not defeated. Sari, small and stubborn, has followed her guardian into exile, carrying questions that no one knows to ask, and no one can yet answer. And somewhere beneath the metal skin of Iacon, a secret stirs, one that could shift the tide of war.

When Optimus Prime faces termination on the battlefield, Phage makes a desperate gamble to turn the tables on the Decepticons. Her plans go awry when she's taken hostage by Megatron, who believes she has the Matrix. Through violence and torture, Phage objects to the claim that she has the sacred relic. What she does have and will not say, is Optimus Prime's spark.

Before his overthrow was spearheaded by Optimus Prime, Elita One, Bumblebee, and Megatron, Sentinel Prime's colonial client state regime over Iacon and it's mines faced multiple challenges from the very beginning and throughout its fifty years following the end of the overt thousands-year long conflict between Transformer society and that of the Quintesson empire. This is a story of how those challenges were resolved, how no matter how it played out, one way or another Sentinel's regime would fall under it's own oppressive weight, the intercession of his overlords, or from the liberation of revolution- and it is also the story of the first batches of miners at the heart of that, of Solus Prime's gambit against possible betrayal, the story of how Arcee, Moonracer, and their pals pushed back, while Sentinel desperately looked for a way to legitimize his rule by having a co-conspirator to blame- a reactionary much worse than himself. To stop him from destroying the parts of the legacy of the Thirteen and the old alliances of Cybertron, the transformative nexus at the foundation of the eldest ways of autonomy known to their species, that Sentinel still thought he cared for. This is a story about the might of love.
