On a visit to Essek's demiplane, Bells Hells are introduced to his partner, who they apparently already know. Essek is especially keen to discuss the experimentation he has been doing with Ashton, and when he suggests a second trial with Caleb as an observer, Ashton is all for it.
It's a little weird how Essek still seems to think this is just a science experiment, while fully aware of, and talking about, the fact that last time, Ashton came in their pants.
Caleb, on the other hand, is performing an experiment of his own.
