The family huddles together to decide what to do. Her mother Paola and her brother Ramon can support her for a few months, but are shocked when she announces she is going to look for her beloved Benito.
His last known address was the Yellowstone so that is where she intends to start. She rides but not well enough to be a ranch hand. She can cook and muck stalls, that could be enough to get her hired for something.
She leaves Texas driving her father's old truck and heads north with a half-grown German Shepherd puppy for company. She has to make the Duttons accept her, but can she trust them?
