George and Bertha Russell cannot get divorced.
When his parents drop the massive bomb that they’re splitting up, Larry Russell uproots his life in Boston to move back to New York, because he’s determined to get them to see they belong together. And his plan is foolproof – all he needs is a woman willing to play the part of his fiancée, so his parents will have no choice but to see each other for all kinds of wedding related activities.
Marian Brook had no intention of agreeing to fake marry Larry Russell – at least, not until she runs into her ex boyfriend at her absolute lowest, and blurts out she’s engaged. Now they’re tangled up in each other’s lives, trying to get his parents back together, and convince her ex she’s happy and moved on.
If the lines between real and fake get a bit blurry, it really isn’t their fault, is it?
