His hat clutched tightly in his hands as he squared his shoulders, he was trying to look strong despite the devastating blow dealt, it could have been something Reaper admired in him… Though it also looked as if the slightest touch would cause the boy to crumble.
At Lamina whose usually soft green eyes remain sharp, almost calculating, as she stares at the rest of them. Her body is stiff, nails digging into the denim of her jeans and she is pale, almost ghostly looking as if every part of her were screaming out in protest. Still, she doesn't waver—doesn't look Treech's way, perhaps if she does then she knows she'll well and truly crumble. Reaper pities her somewhat, she had been caught in between a rock and a hard place—forced to choose between her friend and her survival. And only now did she find herself facing the ramifications of what she had done.

If Domitia didn't know better, she'd say that Tanner was staring at her in longing. Thankfully, none of the others seemed to notice, still Festus' tribute presses on. "What's so different about you that you'd manage it better than me?"
"I know her, certainly better than even her stupid boyfriend over there."
The tension between the three tributes shifts, as Domitia and her classmates pause and turned back towards Tanner. Had she heard him right? How could he know Lamina, they were from entirely different Districts, not to mention Seven and Ten weren't even close to one another so it was impossible regardless.
The pair from Four pause as Coral shrugged carelessly, though it was obvious she was still reluctant, "Good luck, trying to convince Sleeping Beauty then."
"I don't need luck."
(Or, an AU where the divide between the Capitol and the Districts is even more prevalent, Tanner and Lamina’s beef simultaneously is a lot more personal and complicated than canon. And the others are just along for the ride.)
