Ryuunosuke tuned the doctor’s words out, looking at his hands that were numbly placed on his lap on the sofa he was on. After feeling much worse than usual, he had decided to call over one of the Port Mafia’s private doctors, bracing for the news that he had been expecting all along.
It wasn’t a surprise.
His impending death wasn’t new information.

Ryuunosuke always knew that he was going to die. So, after mulling it over, he recounted the words of a friend of his ex-mentor and decided to transcript his thoughts in the medium of letters, as well as making a To-do list for activities with people he deemed worthy one last time.

“I'm certain I've already told you who I am.” The young man gave this cheeky reply to Akiko's question, though there was a complete lack of warmth or charm in it.
It was obvious to her that this man was intentionally trying to bend her to his will by intimidating her into silence. The benevolent aura and light that had once surrounded this young man like a warm glow now dissipated as he slowly sauntered towards her at a languid pace.
This type of manipulation tactic felt so intimately familiar. Eerily so. Every step. Every move. Every breath. His every gesture and mannerism brought to mind someone else. Someone Akiko hadn't seen in years, but thought about often. Even though she had tried not to. And now..? With the way this young man was regarding her through a predatory stare and menacing smile. The resemblance between the two was absolutely undeniable.
And all Akiko could think-as the young man took another challenging step forward-was:
