Summary

Then a new bakery starts just down the road, which begins a halfhearted rivalry between the two.
It all changes though, when a greater threat to their businesses arrives.-

Well today I saw him and Professor Collins (again, I just can't call him Drew it feels wrong) walking around campus at lunch. And they were holding hands! Does this mean that Prof. Seabrooke is cheating on his husband? Is Prof. Collins in a relationship? He has a ring, right? Does anyone else have theories?"
Sam finishes reading, and looks up at Hal.
"Do they not know?" She asks, grinning.
"Apparently not!" Hal crows. "Because Harrison insists on calling Drew by his pen name in public because it's cute or whatever, and Drew never talks about his personal life so none of the students know they're married."-

Hal never thinks about her soulmates. She met Drew when she was little, and one of the blue strings wrapped tight around her wrist snapped tight in the air. The ones that link her to her parents are green. They're present, nothing particularly remarkable, and she doesn't think about them much.

Summary
The building itself was quite small, and all on one level. The remains of a white picket fence struggled it's way around a garden not so much overgrown as completely taken over by weeds. Glass had long since evacuated the window frames, and a door clung onto the door frame by what looked like desperation and nothing else. Hal sighed to herself, turning to Sam to shake her head and move on to anywhere else, and found Sam's eyes looking back at her, sparkling in the muted light of the sun.
Its a Hal/Sam cottagecore au!
