"N-no, I didn't…" Rumi scrambled backwards clumsily, all the grace and poise of a hunter—of their leader seemingly lost in her embarrassment. "I don't know why I—it's not, I didn't meant to," she stammered.
"Didn't mean to what, baby?" Zoey cooed, her fingers cool against Rumi's heated cheek. "Didn't mean to be good for me?"
A soft, airy whine escaped from Rumi's throat.

“Oh,” she said aloud. The glow was brighter now, soft and warm under her skin like sunlight filtering through amber. “That’s probably what you’re staring at.”
She scratched at her shoulder, sheepish. “I can cover up if you want. I know it’ll take some getting used to—”
“If you cover any more of yourself,” Mira said immediately, voice hoarse, “I’ll kill you.”
Then Zoey stepped forward with a look Rumi had only ever seen when she was eyeing a dessert tray. Or more accurately, when she was deciding where to start.
Or: Rumi’s been hitting the gym lately, and the girls have a visceral reaction to the changes.
