Summary
The flower on the head of his cocklet is a fresh and vibrant blue, not unlike Dick’s Nightwing suit. It bounces along with the chain dangling from his nipples as he puts one foot in front of the other. Dick would probably call it cute.
Bruce doesn’t bat an eye at him, tugging Jason’s leash one last time. The alpha doesn’t try to help as Jason stumbles onto the steps and his left knee hits the marble harshly. All he can do is wince.
“So careless,” Bruce says. “It’s your problem now.”
From one alpha to another, Bruce gives Dick Jason’s leash, formally handing ownership of the omega over.

“You should know,” Kon says with a harsh laugh. “Since you’re claiming to be gay and all.”

Summary
Jason couldn’t do this the normal way. He doesn’t know if he could do normal, even if he tried. But he asked this guy he’s been crushing on on a date after building up all his courage to do so. It’s just his luck that it happened halfway across the world on a mission, scantily dodging away from certain doom.
Tim looks at him, silent ever since he popped the date question. Jason doesn’t know if he should even be hopeful for an answer at this point. It’s dragged on long enough for him to get antsy.
“If you manage to figure out where these guys go to spend their free time,” Tim finally says, “then we’ll see.”
From there, the answer had been quick and easy (and not just because Jason’s eager for that date).

He needs to get to the bottom of this like yesterday. It could be a fever dream, a sleep deprived hallucination, or a nefarious plot to ruin the great Batman—and there is no way Tim is going to let that happen.
“Did you take care of it for my mother?” the enigma asks his companion in low tones.
Tim can’t fathom why Jason Todd’s lookalike would be at a party like this. He seems so out of place, absently staring into some middle distance.
He needs answers and he’s going to find them.

“Are you heading out, my prince?”
There are few things that get the hairs on Tim’s arms to rise, and getting caught sneaking out by his loyal knight happens to be one of them. He turns around, slowly lowering his hands from the window sill.
“Not at all, Jason. I was only getting a breath of fresh air,” Tim replies with as much confidence as he can muster, which isn’t very much. Not when Jason tilts his head and raises his brow like he knows Tim is lying through his teeth. His knight has absolutely no reason to look this good. “It’s such a lovely day, you see.”
There’s a sparkle in Jason’s eye, and although it wouldn’t be appropriate, Tim can imagine the smirk on his knight’s features as well. A co-conspirator in his little escapade is nothing new; not with Jason.

So his parents get a one time payment that they're going to waste and Jason gets a new life he's expected to lead as a house husband- things could be worse. His new husband-to-be could be a giant wolf with no interest in him. He could find out that the people that bought him are better to him than his actual family ever was. He could actually sort of like his husband. Things could definitely be a lot worse.

fuCKING FUCK this was great. i am not coherent enough to make this bookmark comment, but it gave me a new kink. jason was adorable and trying to do his best, while not knowing what else he was supposed to be doing or what he was doing wrong or right. dick was so cute in a mischievous way, and i just wanted him to feel better and be happy. they were so sweet together—how they just missed each other when apart, dick trying to give jason what he wants, jason not knowing what he wants while trying to be good to dick. puts head in hands.

this was incredibly fun. i could see dick and jason so clearly in my mind—how they spoke and behaved, their dynamic with one another. every scene was shared history. every scene was another chance to bond. they understood each other in a way that was so easy, so casual, so intimate. then that last scene. laughing and having fun with each other, when sex isn’t just something to be seductive and serious about, but between two people who enjoy each other’s company so much. love love love.

This time, the time leap drops him right next to Dick, on top of a fire escape that rattles when Jason lands hard with a bitten-off curse.
The silhouette next to him glimmers with amusement. Dick’s upturned face is illuminated by a flicker of flame as he lights a cigarette and touches it to his lips. In his other hand, he swirls a glass of amber liquid.
Sure, Jason knows Dick - his version of Dick - as a grown man has caroused in his fair share of bars and clubs. But somehow seeing a Dick just barely younger than him drinking and smoking knocks the wind out of him.
“Hey, Red,” Dick says, smoke curling from his mouth. He looks up at Jason from under dark lashes. “Perfect timing as usual.”

a character study on both sides. the genuineness of jason's words, gradually realizing how much he's overlooked dick's life, and how much he cares for dick. dick, finding familiarity in jason and letting him in, grateful for the comfort and wanting more over time. how they come together in this really liminal but emotionally charged train scene. it was beautiful. it was so heartwarming and god, i wish this was an anime. it's so good.
