It happens so suddenly that Buck can hardly keep up.
He's working on making Sim Christopher study when, in the corner of the screen, a purple box pops up. It's replaced by an almost identical one right after.
"Buck and Eddie are both having their very First Kiss!"
And, of course, right there, on his very own screen, Sim Eddie is kissing Sim Buck.
Face flushed, Buck slams his laptop shut.===

It was odd—the little tilt of Eddie’s head, the twitch at the corner of his lips like he’s repressing a smile at Buck’s attitude. It’s… there’s something about it that has Buck’s inner, repressed brat perking up like a puppy hearing the word ball said out loud.

Summary
Buck’s close enough now that if Eddie swayed forward, even a little, they’d be touching. It’s taking everything in him to resist that urge.
“Probably,” Buck agrees, looking down at him. The height difference is negligible but Eddie feels it anyway, how Buck is using every inch of it. “But I have a feeling you still want to.”
Eddie should say no.
Eddie should say we’re going back to the station right now and you’re going to apologize to Bobby and we’re never going to speak of this again.
Eddie should do a lot of things. Eddie should be a lot of things—a good mentor, a responsible firefighter, a man with functioning self-control and a sense of professional boundaries. Eddie should not be standing on a rooftop with his heart pounding and his dick hard and his entire brain reduced to static because a twenty-six-year-old man-child with impulse control issues is looking at him with bedroom eyes.
And yet.
“Yeah,” he hears himself say, from very far away. “Yeah, okay.”

Summary
When Eddie had groaned and cursed his black thumb, he hadn’t expected the neighbour’s kid to hear him from beyond the fence and offer his help for some measly change. For a split second, the old ego he thought he’d beaten into submission years ago reared its head but Eddie was well aware of his strengths and weaknesses. There was a reason he had never managed to keep the plants his late Abuela gifted him over the years alive for long.
Now, here they were. Buck going back to hunch over the tomato and pepper plants while Eddie watched him from the kitchen window like some voyeuristic creep lusting over his neighbour’s jailbait kid.
Jesus.
Or, Eddie and his controversially young boyfriend.
