Seungmin sat up abruptly, his eyebrows higher than before. "That's what you're worried about? Hell, I thought it was something worse—maybe that you wanted to kill yourself again."
"I didn't—"
"But we've gone through hell and back together, and we're still here, right?" Seungmin pointed to a scar that started from his clavicle and ended near the bottom of his chin. "As you said—nature gives and takes. For now, she's left us alone."
Hyunjin felt tears begin to fall, but he didn't know what to do with the emotion welling up in his chest. "I..."
"And worry not if it's Chan and Jisung making you feel this way. Jisung is more reserved—he might open up eventually, but for now... how can I phrase this? He and Chan were the first members of Mizar. It's natural that he feels threatened by the inherent authority you bring."
Seungmin took Hyunjin's hand in his own, and when Hyunjin looked up, Seungmin's eyes had softened considerably. "Ah, don't cry, Your royal highness. You look too beautiful when you do."

Summary
Changbin is used to being the jutdae of the team- the “man of principle”. Someone who isn’t going to bend. Someone who’s ready to catch you when you fall and all too willing to support you as you get back on your feet. And Changbin can see the irony in it that while he’s the first to lift those he loves up towards their dreams, when what he wants is laying right in front of him, he’s too scared to reach for it.

After the events of Guiding Light, Changbin and Hyunjin get an apartment together. But nothing happens between them. Both tired of waiting and afraid of what will happen if they speak from the heart, Changbin does his best to clear the whole thing out of his mind, to grit his teeth and bear it. Hyunjin has other plans to get what he wants.

“So.” Changbin claps his hands once. “I may have figured out why we went wedding ring shopping, but —”
“What?” Hyunjin scrambles out of bed. “Why? What?”
Changbin chuckles nervously. “Um.”
Hyunjin stumbles over to stand next to him, tripping on his own feet as he rushes to see what Changbin’s looking at.
Changbin will be honest. He looks at the ring on his own finger, then the ring on Hyunjin’s, then at the marriage certificate sitting on the dresser and thinks:
Fuck yeah.
At the same time, Hyunjin blurts: “What the fuck?”
Changbin and Hyunjin wake up married in Vegas.
