Summary
“Mydei?” Phainon turned on his heel to look behind him, pleasantly surprised at the sight of the crown prince filtering through the shelves on the other side. If what he remembered was correct, then that section was reserved for more historical scrolls, or perhaps like anthropology— regarding the different cultures of Amphoreans.
“What are you reading?” In what feels like a flash, Phainon’s head is hanging over Mydei’s shoulder, trying to catch a peek at the scroll currently held in his hands. But unluckily for the Deliverer, it’d been closed immediately.
“HKS..” Phainon didn’t respond to the usual provocation, instead staring at the title.

It’s times like these, that Rin thinks he might just get why so many people decide to stick together in Blue Lock; to him, it didn’t seem beneficial at all. You’d join Blue Lock to become the best striker— how could you do that, if you were tied down to other people? They’d only get in your way and cloud your judgement, it’d force you to pick between your career and the ones you care about.
With the knowledge of that ending, Rin thought it’d only be natural for everyone to become rivals and avoid all contact. But the reality of it all had surprised him.
..It didn’t matter though. Who cared if all those NPCs knocked themselves out of a professional soccer career because they decided to get all buddy-buddy with other Blue Lock players? But when he gazes at Hiori, suddenly, he knows.

"If it was nothing, you shouldn't have a problem repeating it," Mydei says, unmoving, but Phainon knows if his palms weren't oiled and powdery, he'd be folding his arms over his chest. Instead, they hang, claw-like, in front of him. It'd be funny if Phainon had the upper hand. "Look me in the eye..."
Instead—in an obviously Pavlovian response—Phainon does.
"…And ask. One more time."
The song plummets into the bridge, petering out between them. Phainon inhales deeply, catalogues his crowded, eclectic dining/living room, at everything and everywhere except Mydei until he absolutely has to.
"Right…um. So. Mydei…" he nods, smiles, even, despite the dread. No point in backing down now.
"Do you want to make a sex tape?"
Phainon has a proposition. His feelings for Mydei are (definitely) not part of it.

Summary
Legends say that Mnestia passed away crying tears of blood and arose reborn from their golden cocoon as a humanoid figure, after which they set out on a journey around Amphoreus with the blessing of their kin.
The other version however states that because of that unrequited love, alongside the blessings she unconsciously gave people a curse. A curse so beautiful yet at the same time cruel.
The curse that would cause blooming of flowers inside of the other person's lungs if their feelings weren't returned.
And for some reason, the Deliverer seemed to catch it.

Mydei doesn't think much of it when his class is one minute late.
But as the clock on his wall ticks away, signalling that now—after losing himself in deep thought over how to handle today's lesson—it's currently ten past the hour, he finally starts getting suspicious. It's normal for classes to overrun on occasion, gods, even he's even done it before. However, it's an entirely different thing when it's this much time that's gone by without any prior notice. Mydei pushes his glasses back up onto the bridge of his nose, as they've gradually slid down while he was staring at the worksheets on his desk.
He sighs, glancing at the clock once again. Two more minutes, he promises himself, and then he'll go figure out where the hells his class has disappeared off to.
