Ninth fell asleep in a safe house and woke up in his middle school uniform.
Toshinori slept and woke with the distinct sensation that One For All was no longer his.
Izuku goes back in time, back to his middle school days, which is already strange, but the fact that One For All came back with him is even stranger… and it means he has to learn to safely navigate the quirks in a body that’s not quite ready for them yet. Well, at least the vestiges are helping him out!
Since he’s got a chance to do things over, he might as well take advantage of it. And this time, the vestiges are going to be sure he doesn’t go at it alone.

Summary
“Sonic the Hedgehog is dead,” come the surreal words of a stranger. Tails closes his eyes against the mist in his mind as it leaks through and dribbles down his muzzle. “There is no point in remaining here.”
He doesn’t move. He isn’t sure he could even if he wanted to. Dizzying fear roots him in place just as firmly as the steadfast, undying loyalty to his fallen friend. This isn’t real, he finds himself thinking yet again as the footsteps start anew. None of this is real… He can’t be- The slack, rapidly cooling form in his arms sends shivers up his spine and turns his own body cold and numb.
He can’t be gone.

Not being the newest in the circus anymore was a strange feeling Gangle was still having trouble grasping. Like most things that tended to slip through her ribbons, so too had her standing in the circus fallen away from her with a singular pop followed by a colorful cacophony of plastic pieces clattering atop the stage. And just like that, the fragile identity she'd fostered for herself was shattered.
But maybe that wasn't necessarily a bad thing, if it meant getting to meet someone like Zooble.

Abstragedy is the best ship in TADC (Romantic or Platonic), and I will die on this hill. If you can watch the show and read this fic (because they need more screen time than what the show has provided (they deserve the world)) and disagree with me afterward... More power to you, I suppose. You are incorrect, but that's okay! 😊
These two bring out the best in each other, despite not thinking to highly about themselves individually. That's part of what makes them so great. And they just click so naturally...

But things are never simple when Sonic the Hedgehog is involved. Shadow should really know better at this point than to ever involve himself in the shenanigans of Sonic and Tails; they know all too well how exactly to get under his skin.

He remembered the feeling of disintegrating, dissipating—whatever you wanted to call it. He was there, held in excruciating pain he couldn’t even process, then he wasn’t.
He just… wasn’t.
It’s hard to explain how it felt. Like he was everything and nothing at the same time, there but not there, conscious but asleep. He was stuck in an infinite domain, an endless void. He was aware of every square inch in New York city but he didn’t even know his own name.
He wasn’t Donnie, he just… was. That’s all he could say. He was a numb being that saw everything without seeing. It felt like fire and ice, distant but sharp.
It was terrifying. It was everything. It was nothing.

Mikey’s head snaps up like a rubber band, so fast it hurts his neck. His father is standing in the doorway, whole and unharmed and strong. He tilts his head, taking in the probably dumb way Mikey is just standing there staring up at him.
He’s alive. In this moment, in this memory, he’s alive. But just a minute ago he was dying, he was choking on blood and then he was gone, and no matter how many times Mikey cried for him he didn’t come back.
Mikey’s chest feels like it’s closing around all his squishy insides like a fist. It’s really hard to breathe in a way that isn’t just desperate gulping gasps for air, so he holds his breath. It’s a good and useful thing that aquatic turtles can do it for a long time.
“I thought you and your brothers had left already,” the rat says mildly.
“We did? I mean, uh, yeah, we did,” Mikey says. He watches Splinter’s expression tighten in tiny inscrutable ways, and knows he didn’t do a very good job of sounding normal. So he clears his throat and finds a lopsided smile and tries again. “I just had to come back for something.”
