Summary
Mace Windu was many things, but a morning person was not one of them. Nevertheless, the Force had deemed the ass-end of dawn to be an appropriate time to drag him out of bed and into the gardens. Not that he didn’t enjoy the scenery, but after returning from a grueling diplomatic endeavour-turned hostage negotiation not even three hours ago, he’d rather enjoy the pitch-black setting of his room.
Still, he was a Jedi and, as such, Mace’s duty would always be to follow the will of the Force. Today, it decided to lead him towards the forested areas where two younglings were huddled together at the base of a large tree, sleeping.
Mace tended not to spend a lot of time in the creche, but he recognized the Kiffar child as his friend Tholme's unconventional Padawan. Quinlan Vos, he believed his name was. The other boy was a scrawny redhead with deeper bags under his eyes than most grown adults and the Force drew his attention to this boy in particular.
(In which Knight Windu meets five-year-old Kenobi and six-year-old Vos and, while some things stay the same, everything changes.)

Summary
“Names have meaning,” the man said, “Meaning that means you ought to be careful who you give them to. I thought someone like you would know that.”
It was like getting slapped in the face with cold water.
“Of course,” Jaster agreed, “I’m sorry. I seem to have forgotten myself and lost track of where I am. I, of all people, should know that spoken names in the forest of the lost would be a mistake.”
“Perhaps,” the man murmured as he stood, “But lucky for you, I don’t mind. My name is Obi-Wan. What do they call you?”
With winter fast approaching, and the forest fighting their every move, Jaster isn't sure how the settlements of Concordia will last.
During a visit to a spring that helps heal Jaster's fae injury, he finds himself with company in a place he was sure that no one else knew of.
Obi-Wan meets Jaster in a place the man shouldn't know how to get to, with more questions than answers.
Slowly, Obi-Wan learns that everything they've been taught about the humans isn't how it seems.
When Obi-Wan is injured protecting Jaster—unable to return home—he learns that the tales of the humans told by the fae are only half the story.

Summary
He was slapped in the chest with a shirt.
The princess glared at him from where she's crouched next to Ben. “I thought you wanted clothes, not to talk Ben’s ear off.”
“Satine!” Ben hissed.
Jaster had to supress his smile. That's two names down. If they were some kind of fugitives, and he was getting surer of it by the minute, they had a long way to go.
“Great.” Satine rolled her eyes. “Now he knows my name.”
Jaster watched as Ben’s face fell.
Or:
Obi-Wan Kenobi’s mission to Mandalore takes a sharp turn when they discover the frozen body of the late Mand’alor Jaster Mereel hidden inside a supposedly cursed castle.Only, Jaster is not as dead as it seemed. And now they are stuck together on the galaxy’s smallest spaceship.
