Summary
It is the middle of the Old War. Margulis has helped the Tenno as much as she can, but has lost the Seven's favor. However, she is not the only one to reject the extreme violence that both warring factions display. On the other side of the conflict, a Sentient breaks away from the rest of zer kind, and a cross-species partnership is formed with the goal of protecting the innocent and bringing peace. And so a third faction in the struggle is created, known publicly as the Lotus.
This is an AU where the writers don't hate women and people are allowed to be genuinely nice without being secretly evil.

This was their future, if Marty’s very hasty and sporting gaping holes story was anything to go by.

It wasn't just Drifter sent back to 1999. Umbra was taken along for the ride too as back up that Drifter can rely on... too bad it didn't change anything on that disastrous New Years Eve, but it sure adds some new and interesting dynamics amongst the Hex while they wait out the timeloop.

Summary
AU Story takes place in Present Time Origin System Time, during the Old Peace Quest. With Tenno away on Deimos using The Dark Refractory, Drifter had to take over for the time being.

Ballas was a menace to the entire system. His rule with an iron Fist while commanding Narmer and veiling everyone was a traumatic experience. But ever since the end of the New War, Grineer and Corpus have been fighting over what remains of Narmer's former glory, as those still veiled remaining regroup under their lost Martyr.
But recently, Grineer have gotten intel that somewhere out there is a facility in the Veil Proxima sector, and the Grineer plans to take any riches that are inside. Unfortunately for them, a Narmer fleet is protecting the facility, with special directives given by Ballas before his death. Even worse, the Corpus has also gotten the same intel.
Eventually the 3 forces clashing in the Veil Proxima for the facility is inevitable. But deep in that facility, their fighting will destroy the power system and awaken a project that was locked away by Ballas for a personal reason. A full-fledged Prime Warframe once Sentient, but not Archon. And they...have ties to the past of Tau...
