Summary

Lan Xichen expresses his hidden emotions through music when he thinks no one is listening. But when Jiang Cheng surprises him by listening, he learns that a good and understanding audience might be nice to have after all. He never expected someone would listen to him after all these years.

Jiang Cheng looks up, having not expected the question. "What?"
Lan Xichen smiles a smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes. "I thought there might be. Why else would you suddenly break off our engagement?"
It was an old agreement between Yunmeng Jiang and Gusu Lan. Jiang Cheng thinks it's silly to see it through, especially when Lan Xichen could do so much better.
