Summary
Leon was only nine years old when he went on a trip that changed the course of his life, for it was there he received two extraordinary gifts. The first was a pokémon: a young charmander, full of courage and energy just like him, from a kindly professor who saw potential in them both. The second was from a pokémon: a magical power of time. The power to save the present moment as a fixed point to which he could later return, no matter how long afterwards, as many times as he likes.
Fifteen years later, on the second Darkest Day, Champion Leon and his gifts are Galar's last hope of surviving complete annihilation. He doesn't succeed the first time, but no matter; he will keep trying until he does. After all, he's not unbeatable for nothing.

Summary
After the world ended quite by surprise, Ash Ketchum has been sent back in time to the very beginning of his journey with a simple mission - prevent that from happening again.
Naturally, he's also going to go around Kanto solving problems, recruiting Pokémon and challenging the Pokémon League, because it's... sort of what he does at this point.This is a version of the original fic with the opening chapters updated and revised as of March 2023. The original fic was started early in Gen 5, and so the Type Chart does not include the Fairy type.
