For a while, Freo and Kaelix are almost convincingly well-adjusted adults about the divorce. They keep their distance, stay civil at parties, and do not, for an entire year, ostensibly make anything worse.
Which means, of course, that it’s only a matter of time before it does, in fact, get worse. In order:
- Agree to star opposite each other in an indie romance film.
- Sleep with each other before production starts (vow never to do it again).
- Do it again. Repeatedly. With no meaningful attempt to stop.

Kaelix felt his face heating up, but he still didn't dare to speak. So he settled with shaking his head while mantras of ‘don’t give in,' kept repeating in his head.
“Oh so that’s how it’s gonna be.”

Kaelix found the admission quite cute. However, a little devil on his shoulder also wondered what would happen if he prodded further—considering he’s never confronted this flavor of jealous Zeal before.
“So what if I like him too? What if I think he’s cooler than you?”
Where Kaelix grew fond of a hero by the name of Yu Q Wilson to the point that he’s looking for fan-made content and buying merchandise. However, Zeal doesn’t like that he gushes over him all the time, which fuels Kaelix to talk about him more.Bookmarked by AgilesR

Kaeli's kisses were sweet. A mixture of her flavoured lip gloss and the fruity drinks she'd been ordering all night. It was the most amazing thing Azealia had ever tasted.
Shoes and jackets were carelessly thrown to the ground as they made their way to the bedroom. Kaeli's hands were between them, unbuttoning Azealia's shirt. Azealia's hand caressed up and down Kaeli's side, itching to meet bare skin. She loved that after all their years together, they were still like this. Desperate to be close, desperate to touch.
"Want you," she managed to get out between breaths.
Kaeli pulled back and gazed at Azealia with a dark look. "Then take me.”
