There was a smile on his lips, he realized, one that was softer than he’d allowed in a long time. Because, Primus slag it, he was getting soft. Sharp edges he hadn’t even realized he had were being dulled away by the Terrans, edges he’d had for so long that he’d forgotten what it felt like without them, and he couldn’t find it within himself to be annoyed or even anything nearing negative about it.
