Summary
Here’s the sad truth about time travel: while it’s a powerful tool, it’s also a terrible burden for anyone to bear… and is never without consequence.
Aster is a boy born with this ability. He is a “Timekeeper.” Timekeepers and their rule over a timeline is absolute; they can bend time itself to their will, undo their own death, and even modify reality itself to fit their own vision.
Unfortunately, Aster, lacking a mentor, is woefully inexperienced. He can hardly even use his power in spite of its nearly infinite potential. Not only that… but he doesn’t even WANT it?!
Unsurprisingly, some are unhappy with that outcome, especially when the one who holds such an important role is as reluctant and inexperienced as Aster.One night, a girl named Evelyn appeared in his dreams. She held a power that was like his, yet different; an artificial power manufactured to corner the boy and force him to surrender his ability to a more capable heir… but they became friends instead. Unbeknownst to either of them, the girl’s power was much more like a curse, a poison to both her and the timeline that Aster was meant to protect, and its very existence had profound effects that neither of them could have ever predicted.

Summary
Aster is what's known as a "Timekeeper." His inborn duty is to ensure the forward progress of the "alpha timeline," the main one on which all are based... and of course, to prevent it from falling into disrepair. He has the ability to control time, cheat death, and bend reality to his will, but his lack of a mentor and ignorance of his power's functions frequently give him trouble.
Evelyn is a girl with a unique curse, an entirely synthetic, forbidden power that grants her the ability to control time, just like Aster. But it comes at a heavy price... and her curse was designed by her own father with the sole purpose of cornering and pressuring the Timekeeper into surrendering his power. Although she rejected her purpose, she struggles dealing with the side effects, and may eventually play into her father's hands.This is a story of two teens who navigate the treachery that is time travel, learn to bear that burden... and find out exactly how troublesome the power of time travel really can be.
