Even for Galar, the Interregional Invitational is something special: A triennial event in which the greatest Gym Leaders, Elites, and Champions from Leagues from across the world gather in Wyndon City for a special series of Pokemon battles and exhibitions. To participate is considered one of the highest honors a trainer can receive. For a certain rural island region, it's a first chance to show off the strength of the world's newest League....assuming the team can make it that long without killing each other.

Jax told Pomni, in very clear unambiguous terms, that they were never friends and she should stop trying to find that sort of thing with him. But as it turns out... she isn't going to listen.
Using Caine as a way to avoid Pomni's relentless attempts to bond is the perfect move! Caine is an idiot who can literally teleport him out of the Circus and away from the Jester at a moment's notice! It's an excellent plan.
... Until it starts backfiring, that is. But by the time he notices that, it might be too late for him to take it all back...
