Ilya Rozanov loves his husband normally.

Unfortunately for Shane Hollander, Ilya’s definition of normal includes saying “my husband Shane” at every possible opportunity, reposting thirst edits from his verified account, attaching himself to Shane in public like an emotionally unstable wolf, and treating every casual compliment as a personal threat to the sanctity of their marriage.
Shane complains. Loudly. Often.
He also never really tells him to stop.

{Ilya knows the exact sound of Shane’s bad knee on stairs by the slight alteration in his breathing.
He warms Shane’s side of the bed when Shane showers.
He holds the back of Shane’s neck in elevators when Shane goes still in crowded spaces.
That is the part no one online sees.
The restraint within the lack of restraint.
The way Ilya can be absurdly public and fiercely private at the same time, broadcasting his adoration to millions and still guarding the softest pieces of Shane like a secret he would break teeth to protect.}

Summary
Shane says he likes the kind of quiet it gets in a tent up north. It’s different from the cottage, Shane explains. Here it’s kind of like being underwater, but up there it feels like sticking your head into a cloud. He gets embarrassed. I don’t know. Shane and his preferred types of quiet. God, Ilya could just eat him alive.
Shane takes Ilya on a morning hike.
