Summary
Lancelot raised himself and stood for a moment with his head bowed, as if gathering strength to face his prince’s displeasure. Then he straightened and followed the anxiously hovering servant. There was tension in his every movement, and Merlin had a distinct feeling that Lancelot wasn’t preparing an apology. No, he was readying for another (though quite different) battle.

Summary
Merlin came to Camelot with the intention of becoming a physician.
Despite his job as manservant to the king, that dream was never forgotten. When Merlin gets the chance to leave Camelot, Arthur panics.
Luckily for Arthur, banquets with other kingdoms tended to end up badly, so Merlin couldn't leave him quite yet.
Unluckily for Merlin, it was a love potion instead of poison, this time. -

“Gwen.” Her own brother joins the show, scowling. “Stay out of this.”
Gwen doesn’t. “How dare someone like you,” she pokes at the direction of the knight, because if Leon thinks so lowly of Merlin, then she shan’t think highly of her once friend. “Speak to royalty like that?” Leon’s eyebrows are knitting together, which is strange, Gwen was under the impression he had found out long ago – but there is no time for that, because she needs to take it even further. “To your own Queen?” She stands tall and hopefully intimidating.
What is a snake-woman compared to two Queens?
In Gwen's humble opinion, a wench who doesn't stand a chance.Series
