Summary
Zoey giggled and nuzzled impossibly closer. Rumi could feel her rub her cheek against the side of her neck—where her scent gland would be—and sniff the area. The action tickled the sensitive skin and sent a pleasant shudder down her spine. In the back of her mind, Rumi vaguely registered how the need to itch the area lessened.
Zoey paused and leaned back to look at Rumi. A curious look crossed her face, and Rumi raised one eyebrow in question.
“You kinda smell different,” Zoey simply stated. There were no teasing undertones in that sentence, just a factual finality.
OR
Rumi had spent her entire life believing that she was a beta. Why wouldn't she considering she never presented as anything else. However, as it turns out, training to be an idol and demon hunter while carrying the responsibility of fixing the Honmoon since she was young can be stress inducing.
When things finally settle down after they create the new Honmoon, Rumi begins to notice subtle changes--her scent, smells, and behaviors. A reluctant visit to the doctor reveals that she's finally presenting as an omega. Rumi has a crisis while Mira and Zoey try not to freak out.

It starts with a video clip—just accidental fanservice. A glance. A touch. A joke that lingers too long. Then comes the bathhouse. The club. Hands on hips, eyes locked too long in the dark. Mira and Zoey crave Rumi but say nothing. Rumi aches for both but hides it. Each of them thinking the other doesn’t want it, that it’s just fan service. So they feed it to the cameras. Onstage: choreographed closeness. In interviews: bashful smiles. On Twitter: blurry photos and heart emojis. Behind it? Real tension. Real desire. Every fake kiss feels closer to the truth. And the line between performance and confession starts to disappear.

They're standing above her now. The thrum of the Honmoon as Mira draws her weapon brings her back to the present.
Rumi decided a long time ago that when this moment came, she would meet her death gracefully. Her avenging angels stand over her weapons blazing. She would go quietly. Screaming would upset Zoey and only make Mira angrier.
She's glad it's them. There's no better sight than her hunters taking down the evil that haunts their world. Bad luck that Rumi is that evil.
She knows it’s time and Rumi is determined to spare them the inconvenience of her screams.

Summary
When had things between them become so domestic? Neither of them was sure, but they weren’t complaining about it at all.
There was something comforting about learning the routines of the people you loved most simply by spending enough time with them that, instinctively, you already knew what they would do when they woke up; you already knew how they would move around the kitchen when one or more of them were preparing food; already knew what they would do during the day just by seeing their expressions after a good breakfast.
For Rumi, Zoey, and Mira, being so intimately connected with each other not only during hunts, but also while spending time at home was… a beautiful feeling, no matter who you asked.
