Summary
An edited and improved (hopefully) version of my Bridge Over Troubled Water fic combined with its sequel series, it features the events leading up to David adopting Max legally and all the danger that comes with angering his birth father who remains suspiciously obsessed with Max for sinister motives. It's all kicked off when a small injury becomes life threatening to Max and no one steps in to look after him except for his counselors, who reach their limit with his absentee parents.
Includes lots of MomGwen, OC's to fill in the gaps in backstories and a thorough dashing of the paranormal and angst! And Max gets a puppy.

The roach, however, stayed even as its companions feasted. Max smiled broken heartedly, heavy eyelids fluttering closed.
Enter Max, who comes from an abusive household with parents who just don't want him. Camp camp meant lack of air conditioning, being surrounded by a bunch of other hormone ridden little shits, sucking in stale air. But, his camp experience becomes quite interesting when the roaches keep appearing, along with strange feelings towards these two assholes he guesses he can call his friends.
Does everybody see the roaches? Is it normal to feel this way? Or is Max just another fucking nut job going through a sexuality crisis?

Summary
Jinx hated football. Ever since her best friend, her partner-in-crime, joined the team their freshmen year of high school, and found out he cared the sport more than he cared about their friendship, she’s hated the whole fucking thing of it. The spectacle, the pageantry. The fans.
She hated Ekko most of all. The abandonment stinging for years, causing an irreparable rift between the two of them. A pair that seemed inseparable just the day before he tried out.
Now, they were both at the same college, and Jinx has to deal with football more than ever before. The sheer fawning of everyone over her ex-best friend.
So, when they’re partnered up for a class project, forced together for the first time in years, Jinx gets the wonderfully, brilliant idea to regain Ekko’s attention.
Fuck him. Literally. Figuratively. Until he thinks about her, more than he’s ever thought about football.

Summary
Silco's... not a good parent. As much as he loves his daughter, he has a few flaws when it comes to her. But he can explain it all away, from slipping drugs into her tea to keep her his perfect little girl to keeping her safe away from the world. He can even explain giving her to the Enforcers in exchange for Zaun - after all, they've given their word that Jinx is not to be harmed.
Ekko, meanwhile, went to the bridge upon overhearing the Enforcers' plans to capture Jinx on their radios - she's too far gone, and as the last person who knew Powder as well as the leader of the Firelights, it's his job to put her down.
But after rescuing her instead upon realizing Jinx is still at least a little Powder, when he learns that 'Jinx' the persona isn't real but instead a defense mechanism, upon learning about the drugs in her system and the pain and fear inflicted on her, he insists she can be saved.
And thus begins the rest of her life.
(Featuring childhood-friends-to-enemies-to-friends-to-lovers Timebomb, a complicated relationship between Jinx and Silco, genius Firelight bioengineer Jinx/Powder, and Jinx proving she's stronger and better than anyone gives her credit for.)
