"Overtake that" Hashirama smiled at him proud of the distance he achieved, but Madara wasn’t affected by it.

Many ages ago, when the world didn't yet exist as we know it and mankind didn't yet walk the earth, instead of the continents there was only a huge ocean with a gigantic creature living in it, the Jūbi. This creature ate everything in its path, so everything that the deities created, it devoured them.
Knowing that they could never create humanity while the beast was alive, the siblings Madara and Mito fought and killed it in order to use its body as a home for their future inventions, their humans.
Once the monster was killed, humans could be created... Oh well, at least that was the plan.The fact of being supreme energies of the universe doesn't mean that they will succeed at first try, the truth is that when someone wants to create something, especially if that something didn't exist before, it's very common to make mistake after mistake and it doesn't make things any easier when inventors have different ideas about how the power and light source should be like.
