Little Wei Ying nodded eagerly to his A-Niang’s words. Not believing he would need to follow them. His A-Niang was stronger than anyone.
His Baba’s hand ruffled his hair between the two fox ears perched atop Wei Ying’s head.
He didn’t know that this was the last time he would hear his Baba’s smile, his silver eyes turning into crescent moons, or his A-Niang’s light laugh, sounding like the bells twinkling in the air.
