The Styx does not take kindly to some two-bit minor Roman river nymph washing away her blessing. That was her blessing, for the child that had defied chance and made it out of her river alive. This waterbug was not taking that away.

I’d love to see more of this story, or others along a similar vein.

So beautiful. Love that Percy isn’t blamed by Styx for what’s happened.

    "Wait... Percy? Jackson? Percy Jackson?"

His eyebrows furrowed. "That's me... I'm sorry, have we—"

He looked closer at her. Bright red hair, a lot of freckles. She kind of reminded him of Rachel, a bit, but Rachel was back at Camp Half-Blood, not some jewelry store in downtown Manhattan. He thought back to any other redheads he'd met in his life at some point, and only came to one conclusion.

    "Nancy Bobofit?"

18 year old percy jackson, surprised he's lived long enough to reach adulthood, is tired of waiting for life's other shoe to drop

he goes promise ring shopping for annabeth, and runs into an old face behind the counter

    Summary

After the War against Gaea, Percy finds himself struggling in the life he worked so hard to get back to. The more he tries to fit back in, pushing down his powers and emotions after the war, the more things seem to fall apart. As Olympus prepares to officially reopen at the Winter Solstice, Hermes takes notice that something is off with the Savior of Olympus. But when he asked for help from Hades, none of them could imagine what Percy’s trip to the Pit led to and what it will mean for the hero.

Or Percy finally reckons with the consequences of challenging Akhlys with a little help from his immortal family, who he might be around for a lot longer than he thought.

    Summary

The rivalry began long before Percy Jackson and Jason Grace met. It began with one arriving at the other's Camp, with one filling the other's shoes. A rivalry does not need attention to grow. It will feed, and fester, and bloat until it is confronted and either defeated or fulfilled.

Percy's problem isn't with Jason. It's with the Romans' way of things. It's with their child army, and their blind compliance to the gods, and their harsh standards and the division between their cohorts. Praetor Jason Grace is just the easiest target.

Jason doesn't have an issue with Percy. He just has an issue with how much acknowledgement the gods give the Greeks, with how low the Greeks' lifespan is, with how much freer and happier the Greeks are. He has an issue with the fact that his father still won't acknowledge him, won't talk to him. He has an issue with the sense of wrongness the idea of being Greek or Roman gives him. Maybe Percy is just the easiest scapegoat, but...Jason has no other target.

    Summary

There was a part of Percy that had always felt like an outsider at Camp Half-Blood.
It's never felt worse than since returning from Tartarus. When one bad dream or errant cough might be enough to flood the shores of Camp.

Percy knows he's spiralling, struggling to reign in his own powers- but there's nobody else who he can talk to about it. He'd taking to hiding from prying eyes, desperate to handle it alone- because that's what he was in navigating these powers, alone.

Until someone dares seek him out in the eye of one of his storms. Percy expects anything from the goddess from cold dismissal to open mockery for how out of control his powers were.
Anything, but for Kymopoleia to compliment the storm, and offer to show him how it's done.
